What are truck side mirror cameras?
Truck side mirror cameras are side mirrors with aftermarket cameras attached them. They are designed to be bolted to commercial truck's side mirrors in order to provide surveillance on each side of the vehicle. This helps to protect drivers from fraudulent and illegitimate claims as they have evidence of any incidents that occur.
How do these truck side cameras work?
The cameras are triggered when the truck’s ignition is turned on, at which point it begins recording directly onto the truck's mobile DVR (mDVR). The cameras continue to record for up to 24 hours after the ignition is switched off.
Are these cameras weatherproof?
Yes, these cameras are designed to be resistant to rain, snow and other environmental factors so that you can use them even in harsher conditions. These side mirror cameras hold IP67 weather rating.
Do these camera come with night vision capabilities?
Yes! These cameras are equipped with 12 infrared LEDs that allow for clear video at night or during low light scenarios.
What kind of storage do these camera use?
These cameras do NOT have built in storage. They are to be plugged into a mobile DVR which can vary in storage size.
